Shell Oil Company; the Largest Producers of Oil & Natural Gas in the Country

Based in the Unites States, Shell Oil Company is affiliated to both Royal Dutch Shell and the global Shell Group of companies and focuses on providing affordable, socially and environmentally friendly sources of energy to the consumer market.The Shell saga, begun in 1833 by Marcus Samuel in a small antique shop in East End London, when that enterprising gentleman decided to expand his business to include the then extremely popular oriental shells, has now expanded and morphed into a conglomerate of impressive proportions. Starting out as the Shell Transport and Trading Company in 1897, the company merged with the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company in 1907, and the Shell Oil Company was subsequently established in the United States in 1912 by the Royal Dutch /Shell Group.
